Technical Problem
Q: How come my Anti-Virus detected the NightSoulMS client as a virus?
A: It's a 100% harmless fake virus that Nexon puts in within the localhost aka, client, to scare those who partake into private servers. These are the Anti-Viruses that are known to act up when the client is around:
1. AVG Free Trial Version (the Full Version doesn't act up)
2. AVAST
3. McAfee
4. Norton Anti-Virus
Solutions:
1. Disable your Anti-Virus and redownload the client
2. Get another Anti-Virus
Q: Why does it say that my ijl15.dll/npkcrypt.dll was not found when I tried running the client?
A: While you were installing your v55, that single component was missing.
Solutions:
1. Google up "ijl15.dll" or "npkcrypt.dll", download it to your MapleStory folder, and re-open the client.
2. Re-install your v55.
3. Re-download your v55.
Q: How come when I ran the client, my screen turned black, and then nothing happened?
A: Either you don't have v55 or you didn't put it into your v55 folder.
Q: How come it saids "This is a wrong ID or Password" when I tried auto-registering?
A: That certain ID is already in use, try another ID.
Q: How come an error pops up saying "Either the server is under inspection or your internet connection is down" when I tried running the client?
A: It means that the server is offline, check into the website to see the statistics or the forum for server updates and server checks.
Ban
Q: Can I hack?
A: Absolutely, you will be banned though.
Q: Can I hack when I become a GM?
A: Yup, you will be banned also.
Q: How do I get unbanned?
A:
1. The GM lost their evidence of you hacking(highly unlikely)
2. You got auto-banned(highly likely).
3. Post a convincing Ban Appeal on the forum with evidence that you didn't hack.
Q: One of my family member went on my account, hacked, and got banned. Can you unban me?
A: Nop. We are responsible for your account, not whoever was on your account. Unless your account got stolen, is a total different situation.
Q: What are some of the things that I can avoid from getting banned on this server?
A: Go to forum > Notice/Announcements > Rules for Players/GMs. Becareful not to violate any of those rules, if you do, try not to get caught.
